WORKING TOGETHER TO SAFEGUARD OUR CHILDREN.
The staff and governors of New Invention Junior School recognises that the safety, welfare and care of children is paramount. We are therefore committed to the highest standards in protecting and safeguarding the children entrusted to our care at all times. Meeting this objective is done through providing a safe environment for our children to learn in and by identifying children who are suffering or likely to suffer significant harm and taking appropriate action, with the aim of making sure they are kept safe both at home and in the education setting. Adults in our school take all welfare concerns seriously and encourage children and young people to talk to us about anything that may worry them.
Our school's designated safeguarding leads are:

"Safeguarding is a strength of the school. Parents and pupils value the care and support that their children receive."
"Leaders have created a strong culture of safeguarding. All staff and governors receive comprehensive training, including regular updates. The care and guidance manager checks that staff understand their responsibilities. Staff are quick to identify, and act on, any signs that a pupil might be at risk. As a result, the school is a safe environment for pupils, and they are always well cared for. Regular safeguarding newsletters are published on the school website. Governors frequently review safeguarding procedures and policies in order to ensure that they meet safeguarding requirements."
